Erin our PRO has plenty of flyers and posters available – if you have a local noticeboard or community space where one could go up, please let Erin know. She is usually at the Rathmore Club most weeks from 6pm if you’d like to collect some.

Keeping our branch active and musical is what we’re all about. Whether you are competing, learning, or just looking for a great session, here is what’s coming up for the rest of the term.

Wednesday 14th October – Cambridge Comhaltas AGM – Rathmore Club – 8:30pm

Wednesday 28th October – Half-Term Break – No Lessons

Wednesday 9th December – End-of-Term  Christmas Party – Rathmore Club from 7:00pm

Midland Region Fleadh – Sunday 18th April 2027 – Venue TBC

All Britain Fleadh – 25th-27th June 2027 – Hosted by the Scottish Region – Venue TBC

All Ireland Fleadh (Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann) – 1st – 8th August 2027

  • Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

  • The biggest celebration of Irish traditional culture in the world. If you are planning to travel to Belfast, please let the committee know so we can coordinate a branch meet-up and support our members competing on the world stage.

The Gateway to Manchester TradFest – 2nd-5th September 2027

This is a lovely weekend of music up in Manchester featuring ceilithe, sessions and workshops organised by very close friends of our branch. Irish Dance Classes in Cambridge

(Please note: these classes are not organised by Cambridge Comhaltas, but may be of interest to members.)

Monthly Irish Set Dancing with Robin Gracey
St Andrew’s Church Hall, Chesterton, Cambridge CB4 1DT
Usually first Tuesday of the month £10 per dancer. Next sessions: Tuesday 6th October, Tuesday 3rd November & Tuesday 1st December
Doors open at 7:30pm, dancing finishes by 9:45pm (venue closes at 10pm).
Robin has also started hosting occasional Sunday get-togethers — please contact him directly for more information.
